Wedding Nails - Hints & Tips for your special day

For your wedding it is best to have nice tidy looking nails either short and neatly manicured with a nice French polish or nail enhancements for an elegant look. Why not go for something a little bit different and special with some nail art to match the theme of your wedding.

Nails for your Wedding Day

Here you will see just some of the wedding day nail art created by hand. As an idea you could have just your wedding finger decorated with a simple diamante but if you are a bit more daring and fancy pretty florals you could have a hand painted flower just like one out of your bridal bouquet.

Another option for some wedding day sparkle or a fun hen night is to go for coloured glitter enhancements. These really add some sparkle to your hands and look lovely with a nice diamond ring!!. Here you will see some pictures of the nail art and enhancements created by Lucy at Harmony in Beauty with some simple steps for nail professionals to help you achieve a similar effect.

Prepare your nails before your wedding.

Use a good nourishing cuticle oil twice a day not only will this help your cuticles it will also help any nail enhancements you have had. Keep your hands out of any detergents and where possible avoid washing up, we would all like this excuse! If you have time in the evening you can do a hand and arm treatment to condition the skin. Place some hand cream on your arms and hands, massage into the skin then place some drops of cuticle oil onto each nail and use a heated mitt effect to allow the goodness of the creams and oils to penetrate the skin more deeply. To make your own heated mitts you can either choose a wheat bag which is safe for microwave use and place on the hands and arms for 10 to 15 minutes or use warm towels off a radiator for a similar effect. This will relax you as well as pamper your skin so it looks soft and glowing. Whilst you’re doing this you may even be able to pop on a face mask too.
