Making ThumbnailsStep 2: Right, so we've got the Thumbnail maker open and we've got the Pics folder selected. We now need to set the 'options' for our new thumbnails. No need to be nervous or over-awed doing this, it really is very straightforward. From the 'options' menu, select 'Set Thumbnail Options..'

You now select the options that suit you best. I recommend the following settings:- Check the box to 'resample'
- set the size for new thumbnails to 100 x 100
- Thumbnail border (personally I leave this unchecked)
- Set thumbnail background colours (best to have this matching your page background)
- Set page background colour
Setting background colours is done with a view to getting your thumbnails to blend into your webpage a little more naturally. My personal view is that if your webpage background colour is white, set the thumbnail background to white also. Here's a pic of my settings box.

I can tell you're getting impatient, you're just bursting to make some thumbnails and you cant be bothered reading through this stuff, right? Be patient, we're nearly done. Remember you'll only have to do this once and then forget about it. Double check that you've selected the boxes that you need to select and let's move on to the next stage.
