Creating your own Slideshow

So you'd like to make your very own slideshow, eh? Well, it's probably a whole lot easier than you think. All you need are Irfanview and some pictures. Follow along with the Thumbnail tutorial until you get to step 3. We now need to make some very slight changes. Begin in the exact same way that is outlined at the start of step 3, click on 'Options', then 'Select all', now 'right-click' on any image and the dialog box will popup again. This time we want to click on 'Save selected thumbs as HTML file ..' as shown in the pic below.

This in turn brings up another menu where you'll be asked to specify certain options before proceding. Again, it's very straightforward but I'm providing a pic here to explain some of the options that you might want to select.

As you may have noticed in the pic above, you can elect to have the slideshow set to run automatically or allow your visitors to browse through your pics themselves in their own time. Once you've finished selecting your options, click on 'Export' and your new slideshow will be ready in the blink of an eye. Dont forget with the automatic slideshow, you can customise the page title and colours, you can also add some text either below or above the pics. The same is true for the manual slideshow but the difference here is that each picture is contained in its own html page, so if you have 10 pics, you need to customise 10 pages. Here are the two slideshows in action.
