Resize a Picture - Step by Step

Right, quick check, we've got our picture here, click to open the full size image, then 'right-click' on it and save it to your desktop. Next make sure you have Irfanview installed and functioning correctly on your computer. Open the Irfanview program.
Step 1:
Click on 'File' and then 'Open'



Step 2:
Browse to your desktop and click on "test_big.jpg" and now click 'Open'. The big picture opens in Irfanview.



Step 3:
With the picture open in front of you, click on 'image' in the Top menu and scroll down to 'Resize/Resample'.



Step 4:
Set your new size. Make sure that 'Preserve Aspect Ratio' is selected. Then move across and make sure the box for 'Resample' is also selected.

Step 5:
Finally, click on 'File' and 'Save as..' Choose a new name and location for your saved image. Now, that wasn't too difficult, eh? :-)
