The Race for LifeLyndsay Harrold, a Nail Technician from Pwllheli in North Wales and regular member of the salongeek.com website, has pledged to do her bit and raise money for Cancer Research UK, by completing the Caernarfon Cancer research UK ‘Race for Life’.
The opportunity to take part and raise money, is extra important to Lyndsay after her baby daughter, Morgandie, was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma, at only 6 weeks old. Morgandie was taken into and treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital for children and after several rounds of chemotherapy and major surgery, has now thankfully beaten the cancer and has a good prognosis for the future.
Lyndsay says, “Morgandie has shown such strength in her fight, and for that we are eternally grateful, but sadly we have already seen too many children affected by cancer and sadly some have lost their battle and are now angels. If I can help just one more child beat cancer then I would run forever!”
