Prior to beginning, set out the materials that you'll need:
Choose 2 to 3 colours of nail polish (or coloured UV Gel or acrylic paint). It’s best to use colours that contrast sharply with each other otherwise it will look only like colour fades. Example: blue with orange, white with black. Refer to a colour wheel for assistance if need be.
A monomer dish or ramekin filled with pure acetone or dehydrator for cleaning the smile line.
A striper-brush.
A flat brush for cleaning the smile line (an old gel brush is fine).

| STEP 1
You must do this step swiftly so that colours don’t have a chance to start to dry, for if they do, it will be hard to marble them.
Choose your first colour, and ‘drop’ it on the nail in several drops. Do not attempt to create a pattern.

Do the same with the 2nd colour, filling in blanks, and then the 3rd.
With each nail, choose a different colour to be prominent, and mix it up. Never drop the colours in the same place/pattern twice, if you can help it. This keeps each nail individual.
Be sure to do all of this swiftly, without giving pause for the polish to dry. This is not a test on how to be neat. If you "drop" too much, don’t worry. You can 'drag' it off with the striper brush, and clean the brush off, before continuing. There are no mistakes to be made here. It's all just fun

Pic 3b | STEP 3 Drag your striper brush through the polish, in any direction that you choose. A lot or a little bit. Again, you cannot get it wrong.

Pic 4b | STEP 4 Dip a brush in acetone. Dab it on a wipe or napkin/paper towel to remove excess acetone, and clean up your smile line. Re-dip into acetone as needed.
Do not use a brush 'soaked' in acetone as it will run into your marbled French and mess it up.

Allow the polish to dry, and then apply a clear topcoat to finish.
VOILA!
